New Painting
Finally, some new work. I started this digital painting a long, LONG time ago, in May. I wrestled with it for a while, and then put it aside due to the job, and I managed to get back to it this weekend and finish it. I based it on a photo I took in Canada two years ago.
I like the photo, but it was difficult to translate it into a painting. Still, the work is done, and as far as I’m concerned, any finished work is good work.
My job makes it difficult for me to pursue my personal work but having this off my plate leaves me open to think about what I want to do next. You’ll just have to keep checking back to find out what I decide to do.

More Excuses
So, I know I said I’d have fabulous content in here for you soon, but I just don’t. I’ve been incredibly busy. I spent three days last week at Siggraph and had a great time. It was good to see old friends like Cheryl, Marco, and Kate, as well as many other folks from SCAD. Marco, I know you like to be nostalgic, but it’s really, really time for you to update your website. Seriously.
I didn’t just socialize at Siggraph though; I did check out some software (Notably the latest version of PF Track) and attended my husband’s talk. But I did do a lot of socializing.
On the heels of my whirlwind trip to Siggraph, things at work are heating up. I’m working Saturdays now. If I’m lucky I might get some time to post some more drawings. But first I need time to MAKE drawings. So we’ll see.

A Brief Update with Very Little real Content
I’ve been absent for a while so I decided it was time for a quick update. I’ve been busy, busy, busy with a new job and out of town guests and various projects. The long and the short of it is, I haven’t had time to draw, or knit, or write posts to my blog much. But that is going to change! Very, very soon! I hope to inundate you with drawings, and knitted things, and other stuff and make this the awesome blog I intended it to be.
